This really is the end of the Lykken Trail because the North Lykken Trail is one street over off of Panorama. This small trail off The dead end of Chino Canyon now has markers which call it the Desert Palisades and Chino Cone Alluvial Fan.

Steep but good footing in tennis shoes. Beautiful views. We did out and back on North Lykken because were told descending South Lykken was treacherous. We found North Lykken to be a fun challenge. Admired the views from various trails at the top then headed back down. 2 hours total, 1,035 elevation gain. Loved it.
This trail is beginning with a beautiful neighborhood. North Lykken trail is a rocky and narrow. I rate it a five stars trail because spectacular view of Palm Springs. One caution is that you must wear a good foot wear for the hike. Do not take any dogs to this trail because it is not admitted.
