This is a real nice trail that snakes along the Oconee River and goes further up to some housing around Barnett Shoals Rd. It's still under construction so it's not super pretty but there's a wide divided sidewalk for pedestrians and bike to share.
I happen to live nearby so parking isn't an issue for me. The Greenway is a great walk/bike ride location. Expansion projects are on going to make the trails longer and more connected to the city.
Beautiful walkway. I'm so blessed to live in a town that values nature! Love the little side trails into the woods!!!
Love the greenway! Wonderful place to walk my dogs & see people biking on it, too. This was a great addition to Athens.
