Confirmed from North Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

I love this park, so much FUN! The water feature here is amazing the kids had a blast playing through it and getting wet on a hot day. Running playing laughing and as a Nana it brings so much joy to see my babies having so much fun❤ Take you kids let them play😊😊😊

Beautiful park with lots of activities for kids. Large splash pad, skateboard park, playgroumd and even a pavilion. Nice grass for the dog to run in.

Went to the annual Taco Fest. It was great! Just wish there was more seating and tables. Also wish there were more park benches scattered about to sit on. It's shady, but not very scenic. Would be nice to see some rose gardens or something.

I love to bring my family here, it's within walking distance from my clinic and super nice!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🌳 Shaded / tree cover 3 mentions

“Nice shady park with lots of trees, really nice grass, with picnic tables, a stage, covered picnic group tables, and a skate park, playground, dogs on leash only, Lots of parking.”

The practical stuff

  • AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
