We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of North Shore Natural Area yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about North Shore Natural Area
“Really beautiful natural area with fine sand, lots of shady spots and amazing views of the Adirondacks.”
Really beautiful natural area with fine sand, lots of shady spots and amazing views of the Adirondacks. A bit of a trek - park at Starr Farm dog park or the park and walk up the island line trail, or bike and park at the head of the stairs down to the beach.
I stumbled on the area which is off the Burlington Bike Path. The beach extends probably a mile. It has clean, fresh sand with trees and some junk. But lots of birds, wildlife and places to chill and build a fire. It was empty when I was there. It's probably never busy because it not super easy to get to.
