Confirmed from Delta Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🌾 quiet & peaceful 3 mentions

“Nice quiet neighborhood park located on the back water of the Winooski River right before it dumps into Lake Champlain.”

Very small park but worth the stop if you are around. It's right along the bike path. We stopped and took the short 200 yard walk down the path to view the lake. There was lots of cool wildlife- birds, bugs and frogs. It's worth the short walk!

★★★★★ — Philip , Aug 2023

Access to the Lake Champlain waterfront is always appreciated. Many people were taking advantage of the bike path to ride, walk and bird watch. The bridge across the river was popular with people stopping and enjoying the views.

★★★★★ — John , Jun 2024

This spot is popular with bird watchers, kite surfers, hikers and bicycles. It's on the Burlington bike path (which is five stars). There's a picnic table close to the sign and path. Delta Park actually covers the entire peninsula and delta. A very cool area.

★★★★☆ — Marc , Oct 2022

Walk out the bike path and enjoy the views of Delta Park. Continue south along the bike path to the bridge over the Winooski River and checkout the spectacular views from the bridge of Lake Champlain and the Winooski River.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
