Confirmed from Northampton Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Shaded park featuring a playground, walking trails and picnic tables.
What runners say about Northampton Park
“Nice clean Park with hiking paths, a lake, playground equipment and other communal areas.”
“A part runs through the trees and it is wonderful to hear birds chirping while walking in the dappled shade.”
Great park with TONS of shade. I was so pleasantly surprised when I parked and saw all the tree coverage as well as workout equipment. The equipment looked well taken care of and had directions posted for each machine. There are multiple stone picnic tables as well as a paved walking path.
Lovely place for a morning walk. Walking paths are wide and some are even new routes. A part runs through the trees and it is wonderful to hear birds chirping while walking in the dappled shade. Plenty of parking and benches foe rest stops. Very clean.
I went here for the first time recently, it is a little hidden gem park..I never knew it was there! There’s a field, covered pavilion, park area, walking trail, and workout equipment. I liked it, and would like to go back with the kids.
Good park for walking. 2 playgrounds, clean and well kept. Bathrooms are locked during rainy weather.

- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
