Confirmed from Woodcrest Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Kid-friendly, paved park offering a playground and fitness equipment; frequented by deer.

This is my 13 yr old daughter's favorite nature park, but also has a great playground. There are MANY deer roaming freely. Lots of shaded benches and picnic tables. Walking/nature trails are very nice and serene. Butterflies everywhere!
Very nice park with walking trails, work out equipment, playground and bathroom. Almost daily deer sightings. This has become my boys favorite playground because of the big play structures and soft surface. The workout equipment is right next to the playground.
A lovely little gem of a park!! It's only 3 miles from the interstate, but one trip to Woodcrest park, and you feel like you've stepped outside the city. My daughter enjoyed the trails and truly unique playground.
This park is great to walk. The trails are kept pretty clean. There are deer to see, lots of squirrels and lizards.... beautiful bird songs. The park area is far enough off the trail that you can exercise without disturbing the kiddos or without them disturbing you lol. It's overall great.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadrestrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
