Confirmed from Northgate Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Family-oriented park featuring a shaded playground and picnic areas, plus athletic fields.
What runners say about Northgate Park
“Very clean, I felt safe and there is plenty of room for 5 families with 50 members in each family.”
“Visitors have access to shaded picnic tables, a large picnic shelter/gazebo suitable for parties, and barbecue grills.”
Northgate Park is a 5.5-acre community park located at 1750 Hoyt Ln, Manteca, CA 95336. It is well-regarded as a family-oriented destination, featuring extensive sports facilities and multiple play areas. The park is centrally located in a residential neighborhood with easy access to Highways 99 and 120.
It can get pretty busy since there's a school nearby. So lots of kids end up going to the playground and playing which can be good or bad depending on your opinion. Aside from that, there's also a sidewalk path that is nice to walk around since there's large open fields and trees nearby.
Trail conditions & character
“The area was nice, was told they redid the fields but the softball fields batters box was so deep, pitcher mounds not bad but there's no soap in the bathrooms.”
“Visitors have access to shaded picnic tables, a large picnic shelter/gazebo suitable for parties, and barbecue grills.”
“There was a wings truck parked outside of the fence selling wings in the parking lot for those who did not bring food.”
“The park features wheelchair-accessible entrances and parking lots.”
