We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Northshore Trail - Lakeside Village Trailhead yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Northshore Trail - Lakeside Village Trailhead
“There were a few places of mildly rough terrain and some elevation gain, but it was pretty beginner-friendly overall.”
Beautiful park where you can hike, run or bike with astonishing views of the Grapevine Lake. I followed the Trailhead 2 and it took me about 2 hours to walk it, not too many hikers but there were several bikers. The entry is free if you don't enter the Rockledge Park- families usually go there to BBQ.
Really well kept and fun trail. The twists and turns and slight changes in elevation are probably the best you can get within an hour radius in terms of hiking grounds. Walkers and bikers alike seem to like it.
I was looking for a place to go hiking/trail running (i.e., off pavement) and several people recommended this place. I’m glad I made the trek out here bc it was a great escape from the city. Although the whole thing is apparently man-made, it feels like you’re in nature and far away from civilization.
