Confirmed from Northwest District Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Northwest District Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (424 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 7 mentions

“We love that they have rubber mats (do not know the technical term) it keeps the play area and equipment clean and not muddy after it rains.”

I absolutely love this park. It has something for everyone and plenty of parking. There is a paved walking path, tennis courts, soccer fields, basketball courts, baseball/softball fields, covered picnic areas, playground equipment, accessible swings, bathrooms, open grassy areas, and a recycling center.

We enjoy going to this park.. we love that there are no wood chips and the playground feels like it’s made of rubber to reduce scrapes and breaks there’s a lot to choose from .. you can play tennis basketball or even walk around the park .. sometimes we see the soccer teams practicing..

We love this park its not far from our house. So we can walk the track and our daughter can play on the state of the art playground. With tire rubber refurbished foundation for kids safety. There is a gazebo beside the playground for multiple families for gatherings and birthday parties with about 10- 12 tables under.

This park is great for all sorts of activities. Families will enjoy the playgrounds, ball fields, it is huge! Very clean and well maintained. Lots of parking!!! Fitness fans can go for long walks. Surrounded by nature, this park is beautiful. I did see many people walking their dogs. A must visit.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
