Confirmed from Northwest Greenway's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Tranquil park featuring a hiking/biking trail, covered picnic area & child-friendly playgrounds.
What runners say about Northwest Greenway
“We parked along the street parking - super smooth and on pulling up we were taken back on how beautiful and well kept it was!”
“My friend actually just decided to have an impromptu wedding on the other side of the water along the steps and it was really beautiful.”
“There are lots of different kinds of old trees that create essential shade that keep the park usable on those Summer mornings where it's approaching 90°F at 8:30AM.”
Nice and quiet place almost nobody there only few individuals walking their pets.
Large fields where kids can really run full out. Beautiful green grass lawns to play on, well-maintained paths to walk your dog or vice versa. The view is really nice, with open land around the park is covered with thigh-high native plants so it reminds me of some of the views at the Ladybird Johnson Wildflower Center.
Greenbelts are such a nice contrast to the big box stores and general suburbia. This one is unusual as it has art installations, a gravel trail, play grounds and is connected to the rest of the Mueller greenbelts.
Just outside of the downtown districts, this native flora preserve and park boasts a fantastic hike and bike trail, sculptures from local artists, lovely playgrounds, and views of the cityscape and UT Tower. Check out the weekly farmers market and the soon to be open children's museum.

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- At the trailheadrestrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
