Confirmed from Oak Glen Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Oak Glen Preserve
“Great place to pick apples, eat tri-tip, get fresh apple cider but we went for the beautiful hiking trails and a lot of shade and a stream.”

“Oak Glen is a family friendly location where you can enjoy a day picking apples, raspberries, tomatoes, and other items.”
This is an incredible place to be able to visit. We live in Riverside so it is about 40 minutes to get there but traffic on Saturday or Sunday mornings is not a problem. We go almost weekly but the preserve can always provide a surprise.
Lovely little preserve with plenty of hiking trails and beautiful flora & fauna. Nice place for a family picnic. Not much shade though unless your hiking the trail with the giant Sequoia trees, so Spring is probably the ideal time to visit this place. There's a also nice boardwalk leading out to a pond.
This was a fun nature walk! The butterfly garden was excellent. There were monarchs and other types of butterflies everywhere! The bees were hard at work and there were still a lot of flowers blooming. The pond had lilly pads this year and there were a lot of ducks and fish to observe.
Its a nice peaceful walk with good scenery & great for landscape pictures too. Last time I visited (before the fire, don't know how it is now). Its been a wonderful place to visit with my parents since I was a kid.

“They have short and long trails, botanic gardens, ponds, Giant Sequoias, small waterfall (man-made), a boardwalk, and more!”
“You can pick apples in several spots; I didn’t check if you can go with a dog, the price or payment methods.”
“We always enjoy our conservations with the various rangers and Riley's across the parking lot has great food, fine music and in season apples to take home.”
