Confirmed from Oak Hill Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Picturesque park offering a picnic area, hiking & horseback trails, plus a summer concert series.
What runners say about Oak Hill Park
“He went above and beyond by helping us clean up at the end of the event, which was totally unexpected, but completely welcomed.”
“6 mile scenic walk around pond, Canadian Geese, Mallards, War Memorial, sand volleyball courts, and great play area for kids.”
“It's perfect with large trees for shade and open space for sunny days and kiddos running around.”
“Very romantic and family friendly!”
Next to Monte Vista High School. Great, clean park. Ducks and geese are in and around the man-made pond. Lots of well-maintained lawn. Good size playground area with bucket swings for under 18 months old. Community Center can be rented out. Nice wide walking paths for both walkers, strollers, and dog walkers.
A little over 2 laps of the pond reported as 1.0 miles on my Garmin watch, but I did walk all of the Veterans Memorial side paths both laps. Nice to see remains of numerous red, white and blue flower arrangements on the retaining wall so it was used, the fallen were publicly well recalled just days after Memorial Day.

The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
