Confirmed from Oak Shores Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Oak Shores Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (97 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 3 mentions

“Obviously difficult to gripe about a nice clean area to get out and enjoy the day for free 🤗.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 3 mentions

“The park is near a busy road but has quiet walking paths and the playground is set back a bit from the road.”

This is a playground built for kids who are agile and who love to explore. Not good for those under two or kids who aren't sure footed. There is a paved trail to walk down and plenty of grass to run around on.

★★★★★ — Tiffany , Dec 2020

Fun park, but the walking trail doesn't make a full circle. The playground is newly updated, and very fun for kids. Only one slide.

★★★★☆ — Tara , Aug 2018

Cute unique playground that is best for a little older kids (not babies/toddlers). My kids’ favorite part is the “obstacle course” on the logs around the playground, but they say it could use a fire pole. The park is near a busy road but has quiet walking paths and the playground is set back a bit from the road.

★★★★★ — Emily , Sep 2021

Nice small playground that our 5 year old enjoyed. Our dogs had fun on the paved walking path. Beautiful scenery. No restroom, but their is a port-a-potty by parking lot. Trashcans nearby. Recommend.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
