Confirmed from Ocean Ridge Natural Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Preserved public-use wetland habitat with an ongoing program of environmental restoration.
What runners say about Ocean Ridge Natural Area
“Beautiful beach nice during week usually quite during week weekends, get busy so if you want a table get there early.”
Pleasant visit to manatee land. There is no place to park here and it is very easy to drive past the narrow entrance-street. The sign on Ocean Bl. is very small. I parked on the other side of the bridge by a Walgreens and rode my bike in (under 1 mile).
I have lived in Ocean ridge for a year and had no idea about this place. Thus little hidden gem is Perfect!!! My fiance and I walk it 3 times a week. It very well maintain and a ton of scenic views. Plus the wildlife you see is amazing too.
Great area for swimming, sun-bathing, walking + relaxing. It has plenty of parking (you have to pay for it), picnic tables, shade + the nicest public bathrooms I've ever visited.
.Ocean Ridge Natural Area is a 27-acre nature preserve in Ocean Ridge, Florida. Parking is limited, with no spots directly at the park, so I parked at Oceanfront Park and walked about 0.7 miles to the entrance. You can also bike or arrive by boat.

Plan your run at Ocean Ridge Natural Area
The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
