This is a small wilderness park in the middle of a busy area. We ended up walking 2 miles by walking all of the marked trails and also along the border of the park. It’s easy to make your walk as short as you want or a great 2 mile walk. It’s a Natural area so it’s not for dogs or ebikes.
I love walking the trails, it is so peaceful and beautiful. Perfect place to go to when you want to disconnect. There is a ton of nature and I love seeing the gopher tortoises. So happy I found this hidden gem.
No matter how you feel, please please do the hiking trail. Gopher tortoises are everywhere, they're super noisy in the brush. As long as you don't approach them, you can see them do really cool tortoise things
Free park. Cute tortoise sanctuary! Its only a 1.15 mile walk but its very sandy[think the beach sandy] so its deeper, a bit harder to walk in[not handicap accessible] along the route if your not used to walking in sand. Saw alot of burrows but no tortoises that walk.
