Confirmed from Ocotillo Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Ocotillo Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (512 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 8 mentions

“The restrooms are clean, decent size grass field, baseball field, soccer goals, theres a few tables and benches, and the playground is a decent size.”

🌳 shaded & cool 3 mentions

“I like the shade they provide because of the blazing heat they get out there, but the playground doesn't get the chance to get washed off by the rain because of the cover.”

👟 good for all levels 2 mentions

“Serene park, family friendly.”

Driving through the area, needed a place to stop and let my little one get out and stretch her legs. She loved the play area. So if she was happy, I was happy. While there, great place where families take a few minutes to let their little ones also run around and play. Safe and comfortable.

Gem. Hidden in the neighborhood. Almost overshadowed by Patriot Park and the baseball stadium on the other side of Date Palm. There's a SkatePark, basketball courts, picnic tables, plenty of shade, jungle gyms and more.

A great little park! We vacation nearby once a year and this is our go to park. It has a small skate park, soccer field, grills, pavilion, play ground and basketball court. We love going down and shooting hoops. I never have felt uneasy about being there. Nice community feel about it with people playing and walking.

Great place to go Walking, Running take your pet for fetch game, or just sit and shoot the breeze with friends while the little people play in playground. There are some people that are roaming so just be aware. It's a nice skate park for aficionados.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🚻 Restrooms 5 mentions

“The restrooms are clean, decent size grass field, baseball field, soccer goals, theres a few tables and benches, and the playground is a decent size.”
