We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Oden Bay Trail yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Hiking area featuring kid-friendly trails, a lake, and opportunities to see eagles.
What runners say about Oden Bay Trail
“Beautiful spot for hiking swimming and exploring my 13 year old son loves to climb on the cliffs and "parcor" along the big boulders”
We took our pups out for a walk May 31st. Beautiful weather and not another person around.
It's a lovely, leisurely walk. I wouldn't consider it hiking, as the elevation does not change at all, but I definitely recommend walking this trail. The scenery, and wildlife is beautiful, and you'll eventually come to the lake's shore.
We love Oden Bay trail. Just a warning though; an elderly man in the area accused my dogs of killing a deer on Christmas Eve 2021. I told him I was not there on Christmas Eve. He said we had to keep our dogs on lead. He told me if he sees my dogs off lead he would shoot them.
Very flat, easy loop with lots of see. The lakefront, wildflowers, marsh, massive ant mounds, funnel spider webs, rock formations, cedar grove .... Grasses are tall, bug spray that is effective on ticks highly recommended. Very wet in spring.
