Confirmed from Okeeheelee Nature Center's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
This nature center provides hands-on exhibits, animal encounters, a gift shop & 2.5 miles of trails.

“It's a great place to hold a picnic, let your kids run around, boat, golf, or sit someplace quiet with a book.”
This is an outstanding place to visit. It’s located at the northern end of Okeeheelee Park, which is a large Palm Beach County park offering all types of activities. I’ve only been to the Nature Center three times and this was the first time the Nature Center was open.
Free entrance. Free parking. Okeeheelee Nature Center is a beautiful, well-maintained garden and trail. It’s a great spot for a peaceful walk, taking pictures, and enjoying the vibrant flowers and fountains. The landscaping is gorgeous. A perfect place to relax and unwind!
The staff was super welcoming and informative. They practiced good social distancing. We were able to see a lot of reptiles inside. The nature walk was really nice. We went at the end of the day and the trail was shaded. Lots of sight seeing.
Okeeheelee is my favorite place to be 💜 Come see our animal ambassadors: raptors, turtles, snakes, deer, and more! You will learn so much about the animal ambassadors who live there, wildlife conservation, and more when you visit!
