We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Okeeheelee Park South yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Great strolling/jogging/kayaking/biking area. Peaceful and quiet. Come here twice a week after work to unwind and get my steps in. Highly recommend. Bonus - around dusk you can often see the sandhill cranes in the main lawn in front of the parking lot.

What a beautiful serene place to get away from the city noises. We hiked the 3 mile trail that wraps around the lakes at sunrise. Saw a nice variety of birds. Hardly anyone there that early. Loved having the place to ourselves!

This place is AMAZING for those who love nature walks. I am a local Floridian who visited this location for the first time today and I was in awe of how much wildlife lived here! You can easily spend all day here, bird watching, biking, having a picnic, geocaching, etc.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
