Confirmed from Cherokee Recreations Park Auth's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Spacious park featuring 6 fields for lacrosse, football and soccer.
What runners say about Cherokee Recreations Park Auth
“Clean and a great playground.”
Nice park to walk around. Hidden trail behind fields that goes for about a mile. Looks to be on old boy scout camp of some sorts. Unmarked found it by accident just walking around. Lots of wildlife. Great place to freely throw the ball around or have a football or soccer game with friends.
Lots of games here. There are 2 fields. The parking can overflow, but there are a few handicapped spots and a handicapped bathroom if needed. The paths are dirt and gravel. The concessions are open during games. There is a playground.
O love going to this park, it's a very safe place to walk and when the sports are going on I enjoy watching. Thank you

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
