Confirmed from Olympic View Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Olympic View Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (59 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 6 mentions

“It has stunning views and peaceful walking paths, a picnic area, and even a xylophone!”

awesome place for a walk, with paved trails along the waterfront and wetlands to walk, ride or take the dog out. was here at sunset and the views overlooking Spencer’s island and the water were great. trail connects to the other park just north.

★★★★★ — Max , Aug 2022

Small but well connected park. Perfect walkpath that goes several miles along the river. Fairly secluded on weekdays or off-hours. Pretty spot for a sunset.

★★★★★ — Clint , Oct 2023

A quiet park with trails out into the wetlands and along the edge. Blackberries everywhere.

★★★★★ — Amanda , Aug 2023

Beautiful views & great trails! Not very long trails, but it is lovely. It is within a neighborhood & runs behind the neighborhood. Smallish parking lot, but there are additional spots on the street above. There is also a nice restroom.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessHours vary — hours are not posted for this trail, so check before an early or late run
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
  • At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
