Confirmed from Orcutt Community Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Open-space park featuring playgrounds for kids, dog parks, baseball fields and soccer fields.
What runners say about Orcutt Community Park
“Honestly the views are breathtaking and, from what I could see, the trails seemed well maintained.”
“What a beautiful neighborhood park and it is convenient for us, since it is close to our home.”
“Biking, hiking trails dogs welcome have pop bags at park.”
I love this park, but I only walk there. I worked with many projects using native plants and this park is surrounded by native plants, including coastal live oak and chaparral. Makes me happy just being there. I could write a chapter on this, but trying to keep it succinct. It is very family and pet friendly.
This is a beautiful community park, lots of open space with trails for day hikes and biking. Large open green space with baseball/softball fields and 2 large areas for soccer. Nice bathroom facilities and playground for the kiddos. Two nice dog parks
A great place to walk, if you like walking on pavement. There is ½ oval track around playing fields with beautiful views of the surrounding foothills. The park also has convenient bathrooms, a playground, picnic areas, and two dog parks.
Honestly the views are breathtaking and, from what I could see, the trails seemed well maintained. The road can be a bit intimidating to navigate if you're not prepared for it, and shade can seem sparse while you're still trying to keep an eye on your kiddo if anyone is at the picnic tables.
Trail conditions & character
“This serves as trail head parking for many trails, or you can walk the paved perimeters, or there are picnic areas, group picnic, nice play structure, and an off-leash dog park.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
