Confirmed from Orion Oaks County Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
900+ acres of county land with a boating & fishing lake, dog park & trails for hiking or biking.

“The park is super well maintained and well run.”
“Safe and secure for your love ones to run around and play with other companions.”
“My dog loves the trails through the woods, and it’s a beautiful nature walk for people to enjoy too.”
Great place to socialize your dog and let it stretch its legs off leash. Very well maintained. Multiple sections for both large and small dogs to keep them separate. Swimming area with a dock. Trails in the back for on leash walking, jogging, biking...
I loved this place. The trails are nice and well maintained. Also is easy to understand the map. There is a park for dogs, there is like to fish. The sunset in lake sixteen is awesome. Is a good park to do winter activities too.
Orion Dog Park on Joslynn Rd is fun anytime. We have a great time walking the Trails and Tank Swimming the @doggiedock. Aug 4th weekend, they had music, vendors, and shelters out for an event with fun for pups and peoples. Tank loved eating his pup cup!
My dog Cooper loves this park and so do I! There are woods and plenty of room to run free. The park is super well maintained and well run. The staff are friendly and helpful. It is THE best dog park anywhere! ❤️
Trail conditions & character
“Great park, lots of wooded areas and a great dock at water with ramp to allow dogs to go from water back onto dock, that way they won't get muddy swiming.”
“They have paper maps for you to take, as well as maps at each trail marker.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
