Confirmed from Osprey Overlook Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Dog-friendly park featuring paved paths, scenic views and trails.

“Good place for workout, playing with dogs and relax with calm environment and beautiful landscape.”
“One of my favorite places to walk the dog and go bird watching.”
One of my favorite places in Weymouth. Beautiful spot to view wildlife (especially birds, obvi), explore the unique ecosystem, and enjoy the spectacular scenery. Even with the old building, vent pipes, and power lines, the hill and trails are wonderful.
Sweeping views of the river marsh lands. Friendly to dogs and ample parking. Well maintained. Connects to the Great Esker park trails.
I love this park. It's absolutely beautiful and has a good variety of trails to walk.
Hidden gem right on the South Shore. Osprey Overlook sits on a hilltop above the Back River salt marshes and the views are genuinely stunning water, marsh grass, and wildlife all around. I came for a quick walk and ended up staying way longer than planned just watching the ospreys circle and dive.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
