Overpeck County Park has quickly become one of my favorite hangouts for bird and wildlife photography in Bergen County, New Jersey. It's amazing how much of a difference it makes when humans don't develop locations for housing and commercial, but instead to help reclaim nature.
Huge spacious park, plenty of parking available. They're a ton of areas for picnicking and lounging. There's an area for fishing; There is an area for canoeing. They're soccer fields, playgrounds. Everything you could ask for in the park. Restrooms are available.
Beautiful park well maintained. Smooth paths, nice for biking just wish it were larger. The runners can be annoying despite having paths, they run in the street against traffic and dont move. They'll gladly see you get hit by a car then move.
A beautiful day at Overpeck County Park. We came here a few years ago, returned today to explore more of the park than our first visit. There are trails, tracks, fields, a big playground, huge space to explore what the park has to offer. We live so close by, we will take more of an opportunity to explore more.
