Confirmed from Overton Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Shaded

A park with a playground, benches and picnic tables. Shaded and wooded areas.

What runners say about Overton Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (57 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 3 mentions

“A beautiful natural small boulder field and a place for the kiddies and plenty of benches.”

🌳 shaded & cool 6 mentions

“We love this park because it is so shaded it doesn’t get as hot as many others.”

Very shady, kind of secluded park in the middle of a neighborhood. It's the perfect spot for children to play and a great place to clear your head with a quick walk along a cobblestone pathway. You park on the street and make your way down a set of stone steps into the park.

Nice park. Good walking trail. Doesn’t have much of a playground but will keep the kids busy enough. It’s Nestled right in the middle of a neighbored

★★★★★ — Deanna , Mar 2019

We love this park because it is so shaded it doesn’t get as hot as many others. And our kids love the creek that runs down the middle.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
