Confirmed from Palisades Canyon Loop's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Trail along the Franklin Mountains for hikers and mountain bikers, plus views.
What runners say about Palisades Canyon Loop
“I go up there to that spot because the shade in the canyon is my rest stop but the views are so beautiful.”
Just look at my pictures. I go up there to that spot because the shade in the canyon is my rest stop but the views are so beautiful.
I went to Scenic Drive and did a variation of the Palisades Canyon to Crazy Cat Loop. Fui a Scenic Drive e hice una variación del sendero Palisades Canyon al Crazy Cat Loop.
The right off road for cars that is on google map is a private road you must go back from where you start 30min up and 30 min down, you can park your car after the white gate open when I got there 9am, great quick hiking for Fox living in this area. Recommend to have your Cap and sun glasses.
This is our route to 1000 steps trail, which we climb to Ranger Peak (and the Wyler Tramway). Would have five stars if it was better marked. I use my phone's GPS to keep on-track.

“Very rugged and could potentially use some trail markers, but it’s not that complicated to find your way around since it’s pretty barren terrain.”
