Confirmed from Palos Verdes Estates Shoreline Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Oceanfront park featuring a rocky beach, bluffs, hiking trails & picturesque views.
What runners say about Palos Verdes Estates Shoreline Preserve
“You need to walk on the rocks all the way, but the scenery was beautiful and breeze was nice too.”
“The views are breathtaking, with dramatic cliffs, crystal-clear water, and a peaceful atmosphere that makes it perfect for relaxing or just taking in nature.”
The sunset here is absolutely amazing! There’s a pretty steep but short rope trail you can take to get down to the beach. It was so much more fun than the actual walking trail. It wasn’t very crowded when we went on a Wednesday night. We had the whole rock area to ourselves at the bottom of the trail.
Worth a visit for sure. In love with this beautiful place. The weekend was quiet with few tourists or visitors passing by. You get to witness the great pacific ocean from here. This place is scenic whether you go in the morning, afternoon or evening. If you are lucky you can spot whales as well from the top.
An excellent place to take a walk. There is an easy path along the bluffs and ample parking at the Point Vicente Interpretive Center, which also has public restrooms. Dogs on leash are allowed. There are also picnic tables, and benches to just sit, relax, and take in the view.
Went for the shipwreck trail, it was tough but we made it!! You need to walk on the rocks all the way, but the scenery was beautiful and breeze was nice too. The sunset was amazing! We took 3hours + to go and back and it's about 5 miles hike. Found some seashells, sea urchin, and dead sea lion 🥺
