Confirmed from Frog Creek's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Kid-friendly creek-skirting hiking destination with lush trees, golf course views and froggy pools.
What runners say about Frog Creek
“It's not a long trail, but there are lots of areas to explore and some great views of the bay if you keep hiking up.”
“There is also a more open area in the middle with less shade that is heavily used by mountain bikers.”
“Great place for a small quiet hike unless there are children riding mountain bikes, take a detour around them.”
This place reminds me of when I was a kid. Going for a hike thru the woods of eucalyptus in the urban wilderness. Where friends had gathered by the creek with the frogs and goldfish, while ravens fly overhead and peacocks wail in the distance. It’s still the same now, tho the goldfish are gone.
A good friend of mine recommended this trail to me and I’m so glad she did. We love to hike and it’s always great to find a trail that’s SO kid friendly. Multiple shady spots along the path, extremely picturesque, local wildlife sightings for the kiddos and adults, and a variety of terrain to explore from lush,…
Cool Jurassic Park lookin trails once you go deeper into the trails. A cool creek with actual frogs lurking! Great spot for photos and videos. Also dog friendly !!
Great place to walk along as it's pretty hidden. There are trails for mountain bikes along with a couple jumps built by the locals if that's your thing.
