Confirmed from Panama Rocks Scenic Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Panama Rocks Scenic Park
“The rock formations and natural scenery are absolutely stunning—truly one of a kind, filled with years of fascinating history visible throughout the trail.”
“The hike is an easy, family-friendly walk, with plenty of opportunities to explore side areas, climb, and discover more of the formations if you’d like a little extra adventure.”
Panama Rocks was an incredible experience! The trail was an easy and enjoyable walk, with optional spots along the way where you can go off-trail to climb and explore if you’re feeling adventurous.
Amazing experience. My daughter and I went here to explore the caves and see the rocks. They have a decent sized parking lot and its $10 per person, it was well worth it. It takes about an hour to complete the trail and explore the caves. We had so much fun and made so many memories.
We loved visiting Panama Rocks! The hike is an easy, family-friendly walk, with plenty of opportunities to explore side areas, climb, and discover more of the formations if you’d like a little extra adventure. The staff at check-in were very friendly, and receiving a free souvenir at the end was a nice touch.
Absolute Hidden Gem in Western NY! Panama Rocks is a breathtaking natural wonder. The main one-mile trail is a scenic, easy walk, but the real magic happens when you step off the path to explore the towering 60-foot rock formations, deep crevices, and hidden caves. It feels like stepping straight into a fantasy movie.
