Confirmed from Papermill Trail / Miller Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

This is a really great place to come if you like to walk in the woods on a paved, mostly flat trail. There are woodland trails you can follow from the paved trail that go down closer to the river. There's lovely trees at every turn, and the river has some pretty interesting rapids.

It is a beautiful long walk, fully paved with lots of birds 🐦 🕊🦜 a few trails off from the paved trails if you're feeling adventurous. Wonderful outlooks of the surrounding water rocky streams are lovely to watch and listen to. Some nice spots to have a picnic and enjoy the view.🌈🌞🦋❤️

By far my favorite waking park in Maine so far. It's just so beautiful, it's paved the whole way and it's just over 5 miles or 11500 steps round trip if you walk back and forth. Great views and nice people walking the trails. Felt super safe.

★★★★★ — Brian , Jul 2021

Nice and short paved trail. There is a running river alongside the trail which is great.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
