I've been hiking in these woods since I was a kid and it's great to see that the area is now a preserve. The trails are extensive and well maintained but are very easy and accessible. The Barn's Leap trail is one of my favorites for it's scenic walk along the mild rapids.
Very nice stroll. Easy to follow. Parking is small area of pavement next to the trail start.
Enjoyable hike. Offers a number of different trails with varied, but mostly easy, terrain. If you are a fan of bog bridges there are plenty, especially on the Heath Loop. Views of the river, ponds, and marsh are great. I went on a weekday afternoon in the Summer and it was not busy.
Beautiful, but wet, trails down through the woods to the river. Trails were well marked. I walked for an hour and did not run out of trail. A wonderful surprise hidden in an upscale development. Only downside-very little parking.
