Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

A great spot to get on the trail. It has a good amount of parking, as well as clean bathrooms, and a drinking fountain. The trail itself offers a great walk along the river and makes it’s easy to get to the water to fish or just explore.

Great walk first thing in the morning. By the river. All asphalt. Be mindful of wildlife

★★★★★ — Joseph , Jun 2024

This is a fairly nice trailhead with camera monitored free parking lot, and improved restrooms. There is a water fountain and a single covered picnic table. The trail access is well marked and the main trail is paved.

★★★★☆ — Det , Sep 2024

Good access to the trail. Facilities are usually in working order. Provides a great opportunity for a nice walk or bike ride. As the seasons pass the trail changes. If you suffer from cottonwood allergies make sure to take allergy medication in the spring. The section north has a lot of shade.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
