Great place for a walk or a bike ride. We saw many types of birds and waterfowl on our walk. The trail was flat and well paved. Make sure you bring water and appropriate sunscreen.
Stopped in for a pitstop on a ride. Beautiful, lots of parking restroom ( chemical toilet structure) park benches and some shade trees, and ofcourse access to the beloved Bosque my favorite place in Albuquerque. 33 miles of paved trail if you go Alameda to the south end to end and back
What a ride. This trail gives you the best of both worlds depending on what you’re looking for. The paved path along the Rio Grande is smooth, scenic, and perfect for a relaxed ride. Long, flat stretches make it easy to cruise and just enjoy the views.
There are 2 trails that go opposite directions. South bound loops around the irrigation canal. The north bound is out and back. It has a wide open path like the south bound but there also is a nice trail among the trees. We walk one or the other nightly.
