Confirmed from Paseo del Bosque Trail: Central Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Paseo del Bosque Trail: Central Trailhead
“Beautiful forest, beautiful river.”
Some of the best that Albuquerque has to offer. The trail runs alongside the river and into the forest on both ends. It goes miles and miles, the longest I trekked through was 10 miles north. Beautiful forest, beautiful river. One of my favorite places in Albuquerque!
Nice hiking trail with decent scenery of the mountains. Plenty of trail and they also have a separate biking trail. I didn’t see any restrooms. We went about an hour out and turned around but there was plenty more to go. I now call the park the long walk home because it tools like a long dirt road that goes on and on.
I visited in March and walked the trails to see the Rio Grande up close and walk the rivers edge. Sunset was beautiful! The parking lot right of Route 66 was very convenient for a city walk in the park.
This was a really easy walk to the river. They have a bike path, and lots of shade if you need it. The parking lot was tight, and small… but there were quite a few people out there
Trail conditions & character
“So we were biking the trail and parked at the Central Ave parking lot on Sunday, 3/28 and lost keys to an e-bike.”
“Phenomenal hike through the desert along a tree filled paradise like river walk on trails nearer to the river - and fully developed paved paths along this fun filled journey!”
