Confirmed from Patapsco Valley State Park- McKeldin Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

beautiful and peaceful nature preserve with miles and miles of trails! the only problem i had was that one of trails is named plantation trail, which i think needs to be renamed ASAP!

This place is my home away from home. Well kept, great mtb trails, no crazy ppl (that I’ve seen at least), and just an overall super peaceful spot to spend times outdoors. 10/10 would recommend

This park is amazing. I am helping build a new adaptive biking/walking trail. I can’t wait for you all to come check it out!

Probably my favorite Patapsco Valley State Park location. All the picnic areas are spread out, so your group is not right next to another group. Some of the river area are really nice, refreshing, and great for walks. I'll definitely be back!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
