There is a fee to get in, but honestly it’s worth it because the park is very clean and well maintained. The park surrounds a beautiful lake with clear water, and there are plenty of picnic spots where you can relax and enjoy the view.
Beautiful park. Spend the day enjoying the outdoors. Explore the nature center and the beautiful views. Rent a kayak or boat for as little or as much time as u want.There is something for everyone to enjoy. Bring a book, walk, fish, boat, kayak, or just relax. Be sure to bring food and drinks.
Beautiful wide open views at the boat ramp area. The lakeside trail takes you to the nature center on one side and the boat house and beyond on the other side. It’s flat and easy but could be a little bit wet sometimes. Picnic tables are conveniently located by the lake.
A beautiful park with nature trails in Eldersburg/Sykesville (I-70 east, just past exit 73) Maryland (eastern part of the state). There is boating for a fee plus a nice 3 plus mile loop of trails going through the forest. There is a very small aviary that is housing Barred owls and Red tail hawks.
