Glad I found this jewel of a trail! Paper & I enjoyed the Awesome views this winter. Can’t wait to go back in the Spring!
Much nicer since they cleaned up and paved the trail. There’s a couple good views of rapids on the river, and a cool bridge about 1/2 a mile along the trail where the pavement ends.
Great place to park and then walk the Lower Appomattox River Trail to do some fishing or just enjoy the river as it drops through the fall line. Lots of rapids, beautiful scenery and tons of wildlife! A great hike, or bike, for the kids and family!
This is definitely a nice place to come and relax. You could have a picnic or just enjoy the water. There aren't any tables but there is a nice path on both sides of the park.
