Confirmed from Paul E. Stry Nature Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“This place is peaceful and beautiful.”

This is a great place to enjoy paved walking paths, wild flowers, & nature. There are a few little surprises along the way too! When I started visiting this preserve over 30 years ago I used to love being able to ride my bicycle through.

★★★★★ — Kim , Aug 2020

Small but nice place to walk or sit and enjoy being outdoors. Especially good walks for little ones or those with limited mobility. Lots of bridges and benches.

★★★★☆ — Lindsay , Oct 2019

Cute little area off hwy 33. Just stumbled across it. Easy paved walking trails. Some water features and a pond. You go over a bridge or two.

★★★★★ — Chelsea , Sep 2022

Beautiful area to take a stroll thru. We spent some time walking around on the various trails. It also has two lovely waterfalls.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
