Confirmed from Peabody Conservation Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Peabody Conservation Area

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (19 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 4 mentions

“Beautiful and well maintained trails.”

🪧 well-marked 3 mentions

“Lots of maps and clearly marked so that you know which trails you can take.”

Great trails. Lots of maps and clearly marked so that you know which trails you can take. Loved it.

We did a February winter hike on a sunny day. There was no map posted, so we just set out on a wide snow mobile trail. That trail is so nice and flat, good for when the snow is deep or when trails are icy. I was very glad that I asked someone for directions back to the parking area or I would have gone way too far.

★★★★★ — Sara , Feb 2021

Hidden gem with a fun trail for kiddos. The hike was moderate for little ones. Some hills and areas with raised roots. We did the Dino loop and connected to the blue trail to make a loop. It was about 2miles. The trails are beautiful. Streams and small waterfalls. Well maintained bridges.

Great place for quiet exploration. There seems to be a misunderstanding though as the Peabody Conservation Area is WEST of Holman Street, often confused with the Lane Conservation Area as people use that parking lot to access the Peabody Conservation Area.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
