Confirmed from Pearson Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Kid-friendly park featuring a playground, walking trails and instruments.
What runners say about Pearson Park
“Plenty of shaded place for adults to sit and supervise while the kids climb, slide, swing, and spin their little hearts outs.”
Definitely a fun little find downtown. Kids had a blast on the story walk and playing at the park!
I doubt that Kinston is famous for its parks, but it should be. I love taking my grandkids to this park. To them, it is the "Dragon Park." This is a great place for the my grandkids to play, and even better, it has some really nice paths to walk. The walking path starts at the Walk of Honor and ends up the hill.
This park is one of my favorite places in Kinston...so relaxing. People are always there with their families and enjoying the walk. Great walking trail.
We stopped here for a brief visit on our way home from vacation. This was a great place for my kids to run around. This playground has some fun and unique features. It’s supposed to be for kids 5-12. My almost 3 and 5 year olds loved it and there is a smaller section that would be good for kids those ages.
