Confirmed from Pecan Valley Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Pecan Valley Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (552 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 6 mentions

“The grass is well maintained and it is never crowded.”

🌳 shaded & cool 5 mentions

“Huge trees so even on a hot day it's still shaded.”

I nice little hidden gem in the middle of all the hustle and bustle. Really unique hiking trails with some cool bmx ramps in the mix. Lots of wildlife to be seen. Plenty of spring time flowers throughout the trails as well.

The greens were absolutely perfect to hold and to put on as well. Fairways were mowed and soft for this time of year. We were all surprized how well the hills were being maintained. We played the river course two weeks ago and it was in its usual good shape.

★★★★★ — Dale , Jul 2020

The birding and walking and cycling are all excellent there. Cemented walking/ cycling path, nice and wide. Huge trees so even on a hot day it's still shaded. Picnic tables and grills , benches for a rest. Portapottie restrooms. You won't be disappointed. Oh.. good parking also.

★★★★★ — Paula , May 2023

Great place for any level hiker .Well manicured trails and easy to read sign markers

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
