Confirmed from Peninsula State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

8/21/25 - this park is absolutely gorgeous! Definitely a MUST STOP and easily a reason to visit Door County all on its own. This was our favorite stop of the entire trip!!! Lots of bikers enjoying the shady roads and trails.

From someone who has been to every state park in Wisconsin, this park is AMAZING. We rank this state park in the top three in the state of Wisconsin. Peninsula State Park offers miles of beautiful bike trails and hiking trails. There is a great beach if you’re looking for a beach day.

Eagles Tower has only been open since 2021 so it’s worth coming back to Door County to experience! We had crowds to see the fall foliage- but were told summer crowds are really big. So glad we didn’t deal with that! The ranger at the entrance gate told us which trail would be best for me - having had a fractured leg.

Service at the gate, amazing. Got a pass had a helpful and beautiful exchange with the beautiful woman at the window. Got my map and explored a couple of spots the first day. Water is clear and beautiful. The environment is peaceful and welcoming. Lots of trails and offshoots to get to the water.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 40 mentions

“On the particular day we went, there was strong gusts so being on th top observation deck was a little daunting however the views were well worth it.”
