Confirmed from Door County Adventure Center at Whitefish Dunes State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Door County Adventure Center at Whitefish Dunes State Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (731 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 9 mentions

“Beautiful white sand beaches, dunes, caves, and cliffs to jump off of into to the refreshing crystal clear water of Lake Michigan.”

Soooo beautiful. Took the dogs for a hike, if you go left from the main parking lot there are beautiful trails along the bluffs, stunning views, access to water if the dogs need a drink, if you keep walking to get to Cave point park, worth the walk more stunning views.

Great park to get lost in for the day. The park trails are labeled very well at the times you need direction. Walking along the shore makes you fee like you're at the ocean. Great day trip!

★★★★★ — Bryon , May 2019

Beautiful place! Not much for a beach this year due to high water but lots of trails to walk on. It was great seeing sooooo many kids jumping off the cliff into the water!

My adventure rafting tour with Door County Adventure Rafting was honestly one of the highlights of my entire trip. From the moment I arrived at the marina, the experience just felt special.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
