I went on a Monday after at 4pm. I walked the the whole stretch of Penitencia Creek Trail. You will see some people walking or biking the trails. I got to see a family of deers, woodpeckers, ground squirrels, and a nest of harvestmen spiders. There are bunch of picnic areas with grills.
Can get pretty busy on weekends. Family friendly park with all sorts of shaded/non-shaded trails for everyone. There are multiple lots for parking, picnic tables, and bathrooms on site.
Terrific medium level trail, beautiful scenery right in your backyard you didn't even know was there! Took us about 2 hours to do 5 miles.
Felt relaxing walking on the trail with creek water on one side and trees on the other.
