Confirmed from Penn Township Municipal Park Walking Trails' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Penn Township Municipal Park Walking Trails
“Beautiful place nice town to raise your kids in for sure”
Beautiful scenery and wildlife! Wonderful walking/running trail! Ball fields, bocce court, basketball, tennis, and playground! There are many families watching their children play. There is a dog park with plenty of space and friendly dogs.
It's a very nice park. Primarily a baseball and softball complex. However, there is a large modern playground, walking trail, basketball court, and deck hockey rink. As well as a small pond for fishing.
I love this park. I had been there several times over the years to watch baseball games or take my youngest to the playground, but this was the first time I'd ever actually walked the path around the park.
Had my knee replaced and today walked around the lake. It was nice because there are benches in case I need to sit a moment. I plan to begin walking regularly and the more I strengthen my leg the more I can explore the entire walking trail. This park has only gotten better.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
