Confirmed from Pennsy Trails of Hancock County Inc's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Pennsy Trails of Hancock County Inc

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (19 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

Beautiful trail system that is easy to access, convenient, and useable by bikers, hikers, joggers, dog walkers, and nature lovers. I especially love the access point and parking lot at County Road 400 West!

★★★★★ — Barb , Feb 2024

Awesome trail, recently extended. This trail is absolutely worth trying out. Just be forewarned that there are no restroom facilities on the trail, and only a few benches. You would probably do well to avail yourself of the restrooms at Meijer's in Cumberland.

★★★★☆ — Sweet , May 2025

Peaceful, paved trail right off the main road with plenty of free parking.

★★★★★ — Devon , Mar 2025

A very pleasant, safe trail for walking, running, cycling, skating, etc. Easy for families to enjoy exercise together. I love connecting to Indy on my long bike rides, or using the Cumberland or Brandywine spurs for variety on runs. Bicycle tool/tire pump at the 400w trailhead.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
