Confirmed from Perrin Recreation Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park with basketball courts, a playground, and picnic tables, plus a boat launch and food trucks.
What runners say about Perrin Recreation Area
“This location is a clean and beautiful, yet simple park that is perfect for relaxing, taking the kids to play or for the gamers, to play Pokémon Go.”
Imagine a winter wonderland where the entire park becomes a canvas for a dazzling display of holiday lights, transforming the familiar pathways into a magical journey. This enchanting experience can be found at the local park, where an annual event turns the night into a festive celebration of lights and colors.
It was a nice place for the kids and family. But it's not so good for the younger kids because they don't have any fences or any type of railings 4 Ann Arbor Trail right there so the kid could walk right into the street if they're not being watched.

“A large modern play structure which is wheelchair accessible.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
