Great hiking trail that is in Johnson Park. The first .6 it so miles is a board walk. Your on a nature trail, so you will see various trees, flowers, wild life, and usually several other people ( some with a dog). It has many options to take longer walks. I am uploading a photo of the map posted at the entrance.
Wonderful, clean, safe and educational. Excellent hiking and biking trails. Spectacular Autumn scenery.
One of my absolute favorite nature spots in the Memphis area! The well-maintained boardwalk makes walking easy. You pass small lakes, swamps and bald cypress trees on the route to the Wolf River. You can also continue on a trail into the forest. So lush!
We had a 5K in the park today and it was gorgeous! Even if it was freezing and the trails had been turned to mud by the runners faster than me. It was beautiful, and I plan to go back to visit without 500 of my closest friends.
